Magpie Wills and Estate Planning has been set up to provide a professional and friendly service within peoples’ homes to help them write their Will and assist them through any necessary Estate Planning.
Who should make a Will?
Anyone over the age of 18 who is of sound mind:
- Who would like to have control over who inherits their estate when they die
- Who would like to plan their estate so that they pay as little Inheritance Tax as necessary
- Who would like to protect their home for their loved ones, especially if forced into long term care during their lifetime
- Who have children and would like to have a say in who will bring up their children should they predecease them
Did you know:
Anyone currently with more than £22,250 of assets, including savings, shares, investments and the family home, will not be entitled to any State help with their care fees should they go into long term care.
1 in 3 marriages end up in divorce and all previous Wills become invalid.
The individual Inheritance Tax threshold is currently £312,000. Any assets owned above this figure, could stand to be charged a taxation of 40%.
If you die intestate (without a Will), your Estate will be divided under the Laws of Intestacy and the State could end up with your hard earned cash.
